Dr. Petar Tofovic
BACKGROUND
White Dental Studio provides dental services of the highest quality, delivered with care and compassion in a city-chic environment. The practice is operated by Dr. Petar Tofovic, an Adjunct Faculty at the College of Dental Medicine of Illinois at Midwestern University and a Visiting Faculty at the Spear Education and CDOCS centers. Dr. Tofovic is a firm believer in improving the dental workplace and the patients' dental experience by incorporating the latest applicable technologies and advancements.
IMPLEMENTATION
For Dr. Tofovic, that meant the HuFriedyGroup Instrument Management System. It wasn’t Dr. Tofovic’s first experience with instrument management. He and his team were familiar with it from dental school, and he had previously tried using a different company's low-cost instrument management solution.
“[The low-cost option] just didn’t work,” said Dr. Tofovic. “There were too many instruments to fit in it. It was inefficient for the hygienists, and we were still having the same issues with punctures, where you would have to re-sterilize the whole thing.”
So, Dr. Tofovic made the decision to implement IMS™ Cassettes.
CONCLUSION

“Efficiency is one of our favorite words in dentistry,” said Dr. Tofovic. “It brings me joy when I see our processes in place and everything is neat, frictionless, and nicely organized. I realized how much I liked that.
With a systematic method of reprocessing instruments, Dr. Tofovic sees his team is happier. The work is simplified so it’s easier to complete efficiently and becomes almost second nature.
“I’ve realized how much we as doctors don’t really see,” said Dr. Tofovic. “But you put yourself in our team members' shoes and see how you can make their lives and the process more efficient and thus easier.”

“Once we did it, I was kicking myself for not doing it sooner,” said Dr. Tofovic. “It streamlined everything. It was worth every penny and then some.”
